If i am to buy game from Australia again the will have to be uncensored because it is treating Australian adults like children not giving them an 18 rating

i am sick of games getting band so i have been buying games from overseas off ebay i bought an uncensored copy of Left 4 dead 2 for only $56.00 cheaper than what it is in Australia.

I doubt that. Ratkinson has been bragging to gaming sites last month how he planned to appeal MW2’s MA15+ rating, and it never happened.

This is exactly why we need an R18 rating for video games in Australia.
Do you think this would have passed had the publishers decided to simply edit the game?
Due to overwhelming demand in Australia and the appeal and refusal by the publihser to edit… The classification board HAD to find a way to have it rated MA.
This unfortunately is the fuel both sides of the argument for R18 games will use. Depends who uses it better.
I SUPPORT R18 GAMES IN AUSTRALIA! Get it behind it people.

Indeed. If an R18+ for video games existed in Australia, then AvP would be restricted to adults.

This is exactly what happened with F.E.A.R. 2.

A victory, albeit a slightly hollow one. It doesn’t fix the problem, merely highlights yet again the problems with the system.

I wonder if Atkinson is planning to appeal this one, too? (Not that he can actually appeal the decisions without going through the Federal Attorney-General…)
