R18games.com.au is a not-for-profit site set up to campaign for a fairer, safer classification system for video games in Australia. We believe that the current system is outdated and dangerous, and is responsible for encouraging illegal video game piracy as well as placing adult material into the hands of children.
WHO RUNS THIS SITE?
This site was founded and is administered by me, Tim Colwill, a 24-year-old games developer-turned-games journalist living and working in Perth, Western Australia.
I am now doing freelance game development, webdesign work, and illustration. You can find out more about that by clicking here.
I am very lucky to have a small team of people supporting me with articles, news and information. Chief among these contributors are Matt Redmond, Sam Whitton and Glenn Petrie.
HOW CAN I GET IN TOUCH?
Email me – contact@r18games.com.au. I check my email frequently but am awful, truly awful at responding promptly. Place “urgent” in the subject line if you need a response within 24 hours.
DO YOU WANT SOME HELP?
Yes please! I can’t make this site as active as it needs to be on my own. Please get in touch with me at the above email address if you are interested in becoming a regular contributor, or just helping out with news and information!
CAN I LINK TO THIS SITE?
Please do! This issue needs all the exposure it can generate. All the content of this site is released under a Creative Commons License so use it freely and well.
If you would like to use images to link to this site, I have created a variety of standard internet-sized banners below.

Too small for you? A larger 728 x 90 pixel banner is also available.
WHAT POWERS THIS SITE?
This site is powered by Wordpress, a state-of-the-art open-source blogging platform and content management system. It is hosted on Dreamhost, whose hosting services I would thoroughly recommend – the sheer amount of storage, bandwidth and versatility is staggering.
